Meadors Architecture and Interior Design workshops specialize in both historic restoration and new construction for residential, institutional, and commercial projects. Our diverse team comes from varied backgrounds with unique talents, each bringing a creative new perspective to every project. We focus on engaging and partnering with our clients throughout the design process in order to fully understand and strengthen our projects from start to finish. It is through the interaction with our clients, our surrounding environment, and Meadors' unique collaboration that we find our inspiration. Meadors architects and designers are passionate about what we do, and we embrace the fact that we can integrate our creativity, knowledge, and expertise as part of the larger community within South Carolina and the southeast.

Abbie Gentry - Designer and Construction Admin
Abbie became interested in the concept of design-build as undergrad at Clemson University. Her first design-build studio opened her eyes to the benefits of gaining hands-on experience in order to truly understand the tectonics of a building. The process also taught her the value of collaboration. She joined the Meadors team in 2016 and spent the majority of her first year on site gaining field experience and learning from the different trades. After transitioning to the office, she is excited to apply that knowledge to projects and to continue learning from the different workshops. Outside of the office, her time is most often spent reading or traveling.

Maria Short - Designer
Maria received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation with Clemson University and the College of Charleston. Maria’s passion is in poking around old buildings. Living in Charleston has allowed her to see firsthand so many examples of exceptional architecture that have been so well-preserved. Staying in Charleston post-grad was almost a non-negotiable, and Maria has been able to combine both degrees into her job at Meadors. Alongside City of Beaufort Staff Architect and Head of Architecture at Meadors, Jeremy Tate, she serves the City of Beaufort as planning/design staff in a consultant role. In her free time, Maria enjoys biking, walking around downtown or on the beach, hanging out with her roommate (her sister), and grabbing a beer with good friends.
Kevin Crumley - Designer
Kevin earned his Master of Architecture at Clemson University, where he focused on designing and fabricating projects with the School of Architecture and the Community Build program. With a special appreciation for the details, his interest lies in understanding the materials at play and designing creative methods to bring them together in one beautiful and functioning product. Living in downtown Charleston, he has enjoyed immersing himself in the unique mix of history the city has to offer. Outside of the office, Kevin can frequently be found on his porch listening to records or heading out to Folly Beach to surf.
